Srinivas Prasad Prabhu is a seasoned Software Engineer with over 15 years of experience in Data-Communication Switch/Router design and development. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at Arista Networks, where he is responsible for smart buffer management and QoS on Arista's 7060X switches (Tomahawk3, 400G). Srinivas's expertise lies in Switch/Router features implementation, SDK Development/integration, and Forwarding Plane Application design and development. He has extensive hands-on experience in key data center features, design and implementation of CLOS topology, unicast data forwarding, high availability (HA), and telemetry. He also has excellent hands-on experience in Wireless access point, controller, and mesh software development, wireless drivers, and software forwarding plane. Srinivas has a solid understanding of various switching chipsets and NPU's, and excellent working knowledge of MIPS architecture. He also has a working knowledge of Python, YAML, and JSON. His technical knowledge extends to Linux Kernel Internals, Drivers, Linux Networking stack, Process Management, Interrupts, and multi-threading and concurrency. Before joining Arista Networks, Srinivas worked as a Technical Lead at Cisco, where he was responsible for the design and development of forwarding plane features on Nexus 9000 ACI switching silicon for ToR and Spine switches. He also designed and developed forwarding plane SDK for programming the switch, switch OS, and features for interfaces, storm control, L3 routing, shared services, and shared L3 out. Srinivas has also worked as a Technical Lead at Firetide Inc., where he was responsible for the design and development of mesh platform features and mesh mobility solutions. He was involved in the development of various data path modules, wireless drivers, and access point development. He led a team of developers responsible for the development of mesh routing platform features and mesh mobility features on the next generation of Firetide's mesh products. Srinivas holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from PES Institute of Technology. He also attended M.E.S Kishore Kendra PU College and B.P Indian Public School.
